Remember logging on after dinner and the same people were there every night? Arguing about the best Saturday morning cartoon, posting a mixtape list, checking in on the guy who'd had a rough week. Nobody was selling anything. Nobody was deciding what you got to see.
That's what this is. No investors, no corporate playbook, and no plans to charge people for having a conversation. I've been building websites for thirty years. This is the one I wanted to hang out on.

What's the catch?
There isn't one. No paid tier, no upsell, no crypto, no "exclusive founding member" pitch. Membership is free and it stays free.
Why not just stay on Facebook?
Because over there an algorithm decides who sees you, and half your feed is ads. In here the newest post is on top, everyone sees the same thing, and the people talking to you remember the same stuff you do. It's a hangout, not a feed.
What happens after I sign up?
You land in the forum logged in. Pick your class year, say hi in Homeroom, and try one thing: the arcade, the radio, a watch party, or a thread. That's the whole first visit. No orientation video.
Is the party a separate signup?
The Party Pass lives at bigpartyx.com and comes with a free GXA account. Already a member? Log in at the party house with the same username and password. One login does both.
Do I have to be Gen X?
Born 1965 to 1980 gets you the "Certified Gen X" stamp. Everybody else is an honorary member. Nobody gets carded, except at the Green Room. That one's 21 and up.
Will it always be free?
Yes. Being a member, posting, playing, listening, the watch parties and the New Year's Eve party are free. Nothing you need to take part will ever sit behind a payment.
What do you do with my info?
Your name, email and password log you in. Your birth year gets your members card its stamp. Everything else is optional, and yours to change or delete. Nothing gets sold or "shared with partners." There are no partners.
Who keeps it civil?
Grown-ups, real moderators, and one rule that covers most of it: go after the idea, not the person.
