The internet used to be a place. We built one.
GXA is a free online hangout for Generation X. A whole building of rooms to wander between: a bar with no last call, watch parties, a radio station, an arcade, a yearbook. No algorithm deciding who sees you. No ads. No fee. Not now, not later.
A clubhouse for the latchkey generation. No adults supervising.
Remember when you'd hop on a forum after dinner and the same people were there every night? That's the whole idea. Real conversation with people who remember the same stuff you do, in rooms that feel like rooms, without anyone trying to sell you anything.
Each one its own place with its own vibe. The Bar, the Hall, the Smoking Section, the Green Room, the Ready Room for vets, the Parking Lot after dark.
One account gets you everything: the forum, the radio, the arcade, watch parties, the yearbook, and the party house.
Nobody decides what you see. Newest is on top. Everyone sees the same thing. Wild concept, we know.
Flip through it. No cable box required.
These are real screens from inside. Change the channel with the remote, the arrow keys, or a swipe.
Or press ← → like it's 1987.
Who's in. Live from the building.
Straight from genx.forum, updated every minute. Numbers only. We don't show who's online to people who aren't members, because that would be creepy.

The biggest Gen X house party ever.
We're throwing the biggest online gathering of Gen Xers anybody's ever tried. Rooms for the partiers, the nerds, the ones who stand by the chips. Members get in with the same login.
Your parents aren't home. Neither are ours.
Halloween '26
9 PM Eastern
Saturday, October 31. Costumes encouraged. Judgment discouraged.
There isn't any. That's the point.
No trial that turns into a subscription. No "founding member" tier. No premium anything. It's free because it's built for fun, and fun doesn't send invoices.

A quick walk through the building, the rooms, and the stuff that happens on Friday nights.
One guy who's been building websites for thirty years and got tired of the internet turning into a shopping mall with a comment section.
This isn't about him. He's just the one you ask when something breaks, or when you want something added. Ask. He'll probably build it. Half of what's in here started as a member saying "you know what would be cool?"
SAMX
Questions you were going to ask anyway.
What's the catch?
There isn't one. No upsell, no paid tier, no crypto, no "exclusive community" pitch. It's a hobby. Hobbies don't send invoices.
Do I have to be Gen X?
Born 1965 to 1980 gets you the "Certified Gen X" stamp. Everybody else gets "Honorary member." Nobody gets carded, except at the Green Room. That one's 21 and up.
Is this another social network?
No feed, no likes-for-likes, no follower counts. It's a forum with rooms. Remember forums? They were good. They still are.
What do you do with my info?
Your username and email log you in. Everything else is optional and yours to change or delete. Nothing gets sold or "shared with partners." We don't have partners.
Who keeps it civil?
Grown-ups only, real moderators, and one rule that covers most of it: don't be a jerk. Argue all you want. Go after the idea, not the person.
What are GXA Bucks?
Points that don't matter. You earn them by showing up and spend them on nonsense. Like arcade tickets, except you can't lose them in the couch.
Can I ask for a feature?
Please do. That's how most of this got built. Drop it in Homeroom. No promises, but the odds are better than you'd think.
Will it always be free?
Yes. If it ever stops being fun to run, it'll stop. It won't start charging you. That's the whole business model.
Let yourself in. Everybody's already here.
A username and an email. About a minute. Then pick a room.
#1985COME ON INFree forever. No ads. No algorithm. Born 1965–1980, honorary members welcome.
